Earlier, Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry instructed Vietnamese representative agencies in Libya to keep a close watch on the situation and work closely with local authorities and companies hiring Vietnamese laborers, thus standing ready to support and protect Vietnamese citizens there.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Libya was asked to update the citizens of latest developments in the country and warn them to keep off the clashing areas and stay in touch with the embassy for urgent assistance. The Foreign Ministry said it will continue to work with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs as well as Vietnamese representative agencies in Libya and other regional countries to closely follow the situation and take relevant measures to ensure safety for Vietnamese people in Libya.
