On Saturday, responding to a reporter's question on Vietnam's reaction to the attack on the Iranian Embassy building in Syria on April 1, Hang said diplomatic and consular representative offices must be respected and protected in accordance with international law. 

She said Vietnam calls on relevant parties to refrain from using force, resolve disagreements by peaceful means, avoid escalating tensions in the region, and comply with international law, including the 1961 Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations, ensuring the lives, security and safety of people, members of representative agencies and their families.
