(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam had seen no new COVID-19 infections in the community for 61 consecutive days as of Monday, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
Of 1,192 confirmed patients, 1,065 have recovered and 35 have died.
Because the COVID-19 pandemic could return at any time, the Ministry of Health recommends that people wear face masks in crowded places, wash their hands regularly with soap or hand sanitizer, avoid large gatherings, maintain a safe distance from each other, and complete a health declaration when requested.
COVID-19 infections have exceeded 46 million worldwide, and more than 1.2 million people have died from the coronavirus.
