Vietnam exports 10 tons of lychees to Australia
(VOVworld)- Vietnam exported more than 10 tons of lychees to Australia in the last week of June. According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, Vietnamese lychees were exported to Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth in Western Australia.
This year’s import price was lower as transportation costs had been reduced. A delegation from Hai Duong’s Department of Industry and Trade visited Melbourne city to survey the market for local lychees. Earlier in June, the Australia’s Department of Agriculture and Water Resources certified the Hanoi Irradiation Centre to irradiate Vietnamese lychees. This is the third irradiation centre recognized by Australia, after two centers in Ho Chi Minh City.
