Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Le Ba Trinh made the statement at a reception in Hanoi on Monday for Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints.
Trinh said Vietnam is a multi-religious country where people from different religious groups live in harmony, hoping that the Church will work with the Vietnamese State to seek solutions to environment protection and climate change response.
He expressed his wish that Mr. Holland will continue discussing with US parliamentarians and political circles to strengthen bilateral ties.
Mr. Holland said he will do more to foster bilateral ties.
