Vietnam, Germany hold 3rd Strategic Management Group Meeting  - ảnh 1
(VOVworld) – Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and Germany’s Foreign State Secretary Markus Ederer co-chaired the Vietnam-Germany’s 3rd Strategic Management Group Meeting in Berlin during the former’s visit to Germany on Sunday and Monday. Both sides agreed on orientations and measures to implement major cooperative plans and projects in the future, especially in prioritized fields of strategic political cooperation, trade, investment, education and training, science and technology, and justice and law. Germany confirmed continued provision of development aid to Vietnam during the 2015-2017 period, focusing on energy, vocational training in association with sustainable development, environmental policies, and sustainable use of natural resources.

Germany pledged to support Vietnam in increasing its comprehensive relations with the EU, encourage other European countries to soon ratify Partnership Cooperative Agreement, and recognize Vietnam’s market economy status. They agreed on continued cooperation and mutual support for each other at multilateral forums and international organizations, especially the UN, ASEM, ASEAN, and EU.

Germany reiterated G7 and EU countries’ stance on opposing the use of force and unilateral acts to change the status quo, complicate the situations, and support the settling disputes through peaceful means in accordance with international law, the UN 1982 Convention on the Law of the Sea, and the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea.
