(VOVWORLD) - The total number of COVID-19 infections in Vietnam stands at 1,177 as of Saturday, of which 1,063 have recovered, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The number of fatalities remains at 35. The patients under treatment are now in a stable health condition.
According to worldometers.info, 46 million people have been infected with the novel coronavirus, which has claimed 1.2 million lives worldwide. The US has been the hardest-hit by the pandemic, followed by India and Brazil. Europe which has recorded 9.7 million cases, is imposing lockdown to squash the new wave of the coronavirus.
