Vietnam, India promote people-to-people diplomacy
(VOVWORLD) - Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Don Tuan Phong has highlighted the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and India.

At a reception for the delegation of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee of West Bangal state led by its President Geetesh Sharma in Hanoi on Monday, Phong said the visit creates an opportunity for the Vietnamese and Indian peoples, particularly the younger generation, to nurture the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and India.
Sharma said the Vietnam visit, from June 10 to June 22, marks the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties and the 10th anniversary of bilateral strategic partnership. It is also an opportunity for him to complete a book on Vietnam, which includes his memories of Vietnam and its people. He suggested that Vietnam promote its unique tourist attractions, such as its Indian-style historical relics in the central region.
