(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is an important partner on the UK's trade agenda in the ASEAN and Asia-Pacific region, said Graham Stuart, UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, during his visit to Vietnam this week.
While in Vietnam he witnessed the signing of MoUs in education, infrastructure, and technology which marked a strong cooperation between the two countries.
At a meeting with the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, Graham Stuart reaffirmed the importance of Ho Chi Minh City as Vietnam’s trade and investment hub and also an important investment destination for British businesses.
He attended the inauguration of Reigate Grammar School Vietnam, highlighting that education remains a core priority and central pillar of the UK-Vietnam Strategic Partnership. He appreciated Vietnam’s commitment to achieving net zero emission by 2050 and confirmed the UK’s support for Vietnam to reduce carbon emission in construction.
