Border localities of Vietnam and Laos joined an art performance

The event was a special activity to mark the 55^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Laos and 40 years since the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation. Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thuy said: "The successful festival honors the cultural beauty of ethnic groups and contributes to promoting the time-honored friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos."

The three-day event included an inauguration of a memorial site of Vietnam-Laos revolution, shows of ethnic costumes, demonstrations of local festivals, sports competitions, and cuisine promoting activities.
