Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, the Vietnamese Permanent Representative to the UN, made the remarks at a plenary session of the UN General Assembly in New York on Monday. Nga said that as the Chair of the IAEA Board of Governors for the 2013-2014 term, Vietnam has made significant contributions to realising the IAEA’s mission. Vietnam supports the peaceful use of nuclear energy and technology for development in line with international standards. Nga thanked all IAEA members and international partners for their valuable support and co-operation during Vietnam’s chairmanship.
