Vietnam learns from Australia’s experience in protecting women’s rights

(VOVworld) – Delegates of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) now understand better the lives of Vietnamese women in Australia and have learned from Australia ways to promote women’s development, protect women’s rights, and protect women from violence, after a working visit to Australia. The visit, led by the Union’s Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, was part of Australia’s Partnerships for Development program. Australian authorities described it as an important activity to open Vietnam-Australia week, of which the highlight is a visit by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
