Deputy Minister of Defence, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh made the statement during a meeting with Mozambique Defence Minister Antanasio Salvador M’tumuke as part of Vinh’s two-day visit to Mozambique, which concluded on Tuesday.
At a meeting with Chief of the General Staff of the Mozambique Army General Graca Tomas Chonggo, Vinh said Vietnam has always remembered the support Mozambique provided during the struggle for liberation and reunification. He said the Party, State, people, and Army of Vietnam will continue efforts to nurture and boost the traditional friendship with Mozambique. Both agreed to exchange high-level delegations and promote cooperation in military medicine, information and communications, training, and defence.
During their visit, the Vietnamese delegation visited Movitel, a joint venture between the military-run group of Viettel and its partner in Mozambique.
