This is the first time Vietnam has sent a military delegation to the grand event, reflecting the longstanding friendship between Vietnam and Russia and marking a milestone for the Vietnam People’s Army.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi visited the team on Monday during their rehearsal at the Alabino training ground on the outskirts of Moscow.
"Party General Secretary To Lam and a high-level delegation of the Party and State of Vietnam will attend the parade in Russia. I’m sure they will be proud to see our troops on Red Square. I hope the soldiers can overcome the challenges posed by weather and time zone differences to fulfill their mission and bring pride and honor to Vietnam and the Vietnam People's Army," said Khoi.

Lieutenant Colonel Ho Sy Quang of Army Officer School 1 said, "We’re honored to have been selected to represent the heroic Vietnamese army and our heroic nation. This is our first time participating in a parade abroad, and we are highly motivated to complete this task."
