He stressed the importance of remaining responsive to evolving global and bilateral dynamics, and called on ministries and agencies to act within their assigned functions and authority:
Chinh said: "Ministries and sectors must closely follow developments within their respective responsibilities, and handle matters within their authority. For issues beyond their authority, prompt reporting is required. It’s also important to hold with US partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes on tariff matters and trade balance, while also clearly explaining our positions and ongoing efforts on issues of mutual concern."
On matters of US concern, the Prime Minister proposed reviewing and amending relevant legal frameworks to align with international commitments on the basis of ensuring national sovereignty and compliance with both Vietnamese and US laws. He also urged the US to adopt a zero-reciprocal tariff policy toward Vietnam, officially recognize Vietnam as a market economy, and lift embargoes on high technology and technology transfer, reflecting the US support for an independent, self-reliant, and prosperous Vietnam.
