Vietnam pledges favorable conditions for Samsung’s effective, sustainable operation
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Thursday congratulated Samsung for its fulfilment of set targets in 2022 and its inauguration of the Samsung R&D Center in Hanoi.

At a meeting with Park Hark Kyu, CFO of the Samsung Group in Hanoi, the Prime Minister said the Vietnamese government will continue to accompany, listen, discuss, and help tackle difficulties to create favorable conditions for foreign investors including Samsung to ensure their effective cooperation in Vietnam.
Mr. Park Hark Kyu said Samsung will continue its contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development. He said Samsung considers Vietnam is a global manufacturing hub and aims to make Vietnam a global R&D hub of the group.
Samsung is Vietnam’s largest foreign direct investor. Its projects are concentrated in Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, and HCM City with total registered capital of 20 billion USD.
Last year, its revenue was 73.7 billion USD and export value 65 billion USD. 50% of Samsung’s smart phones are produced in Vietnam.
