Vietnam – Poland cooperate in environmental protection
(VOV) – The Poland – Vietnam Environmental Protection Forum took place in Hanoi on Monday with the participation of Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Poland’s Deputy Minister for the Environment, businesspeople and environmental experts.

The delegates discussed 12 presentations on enhancing investment and cooperation between environmental businesses from both countries. Deputy Minister Bui Cach Tuyen said that the Vietnamese government has paid special attention to environmental issues. He added in addition to fine tuning its policies, the government has diversified the investment resources necessary for environmental research as well as boosting international cooperation in the field:"Poland has made some remarkable achievements in environmental protection. Stepping up cooperation with the Polish Ministry of Environment is our 1st priority so we can reach Vietnam’s environmental protection goals. The Poland – Vietnam environmental protection forum is an excellent opportunity for both countries to discuss and speed up cooperation," Tuyen said.
eputy Minister Beata Jacsewska said that Poland wants to share its experience in environmental protection with Vietnam after its 20 years of its economic transformation.
Both countries are preparing to sign an agreement on research, sustainable production and consumption, and transferring and applying technologies that protect the environment.
