(VOVWORLD) - Promoting innovation and adaptation is the key message that Vietnamese and foreign economists recommended at the 16th Vietnam Economic Scenario 2024 Forum in Hanoi on Thursday.

The forum was held by VnEconomy magazine in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the theme "Promoting policy mechanisms and implementing new growth drivers."
Nguyen Minh Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, said: “International economic linkage has been shifting towards green and digital transformation for sustainable development. Economic linkage adjustments are taking place at a faster pace with more complicated features and multidimensional impact. New economic integration trends will impact Vietnam's industries and production."
She added that: "The topic of the forum is promoting policy mechanisms and strongly implementing new growth drivers, which are two important contents for Vietnam's breakthrough in the future.”
Participants analyzed the opportunities and challenges of the Vietnamese economy amidst many uncertainties and unpredictable variables globally. They also discussed the reform of traditional growth drivers and effective promotion of new growth drivers, especially green growth and green transformation.
