(VOVworld)- According to the “Doing business 2014” report released Tuesday by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank, Vietnam ranks 99th out of 189 countries in ease of doing business. The report is based on the business regulations for small and medium-size enterprises in countries around the world. Singapore topped the list. Countries that have made huge improvements in the Asia-Pacific region are the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. Vietnam has made improvements in terms of trading across borders and protecting investors. However, tax collection and power sector are two areas that still have room for improvement.
