(VOVWORLD) - With 72 points, the Vietnam team secured the first place at the Binh Dinh Grand Prix of the UIM F1H2O World Championship, the flagship international series of single-seater inshore circuit powerboat racing, which took place in Quy Nhon nhon city on the weekend.

It was followed by Rusty Wyatt's Sharjah Team and Erik Stark's Victoria Team in second and third place.
The event was organized by the World Motorboat Sports Federation and the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, with the support of the Viet Thuan Group and the Essence Grand Cruise yacht brand.
After three days of competition, Swedish racer Erik Stark from team Victoria clinched the individual victory. The runner-up was Binh Dinh - Vietnam team member Jonas Andersson. Third place went to Peter Morin of the CTIC China Team.
Tran Duc Trinh, a resident of Binh Dinh province, said, “I was thrilled to travel here with my family to purchase tickets and witness the race in person. This sport is getting popular.”
On Sunday, Binh Dinh province also hosted the closing ceremony of Sports Culture and Tourism Week – Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024, whose cultural, sports, and tourism activities drew hundreds of thousands of visitors.
