Hanoi continued to record the highest number of new cases (2801), followed by Da Nang (958) and Hai Phong (733).

The national tally stands at 2,155,784, including 163 infections of Omicron. The death toll now hits 36,884.

A total of 1,841,180 patients have been given the all-clear.

By Sunday, the country had injected over 176 million doses of vaccines. More than 73.7 million people had been fully inoculated and over 23.7 million had received a booster shot.
