(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam has confirmed the 11th COVID-related death since the COVID-19 epidemic broke out in the country.
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son said on Sunday afternoon that a female patient number 456, 55 years old, a resident of Da Nang city, had hypertension before contracting COVID-19 on July 29. She died of the acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and the coronavirus.
On Sunday afternoon, Vietnam reported 29 new COVID-19 patients, including 19 patients in Da Nang, 8 in Quang Nam, and 2 in Quang Tri. They are all linked to Da Nang, Vietnam’s newest pandemic epicenter.
There were a total of 841 COVID-19 patients in Vietnam. 317 patients were imported and immediately isolated after their entry into Vietnam. The number of deaths was 11 and 395 patients recovered from the disease.
