Vietnam, Singapore expand economic cooperation
(VOVworld) - Vietnam and Singapore agreed to expand economic cooperation in the fields of modern services such as finance, information and communications and commodity trading.
At the eighth Vietnam-Singapore Connectivity Ministerial Meeting held in Singapore on Wednesday, Singapore’s Minister for Trade and Industry (MTI) Lim Heng Kiang said both countries have great potential for strengthening cooperation as Vietnam’s economy continues to develop and grow to become the delivery centre for future contracts. Lim encouraged Vietnam to increase commodity trading on the Singapore Mercantile Exchange to avoid risks of fluctuations in the prices of farm produce and improve logistical and associated financial services.
