Vietnam, Singapore tighten cooperation; eye digital, green economy partnership
(VOVWORLD) - President Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked Singapore to further open its market to Vietnamese products such as farm produce, seafood, apparel, and processed food and to help Vietnam further participate in the global supply chain.

During talks with visiting Singaporean counterpart Halimah Yacob in Hanoi on Monday, President Phuc said he hopes that Singapore will soon fulfill its Green Plan 2030 to obtain sustainable development and a green and advanced economy.
President Yacob said Singapore wants to enhance strategic partnership with Vietnam.
The two leaders agreed to build a bilateral partnership based on digital and green economy.
They reiterated ASEAN’s stance on the East Sea, the importance of maintaining peace, security, stability, and freedom of navigation and overflight, and the peaceful settlement of disputes in accordance with international law including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
