Vietnam, St. Petersburg boost economic cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - St. Petersburg authority and Vietnam on Wednesday held a business conference on economic-trade cooperation between the Russian city and localities of Vietnam as part of the 14th St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum, from Tuesday to Friday.

Speaking online, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi said the conference will help businesses learn about each other's needs and strengths, open up opportunities for cooperation in new fields, and promote Vietnam-Russia economic and trade cooperation.
This is also a practical preparation step for the upcoming high-level visit to Russia by the President of Vietnam, as well as effectively implementing the results of the 23rd session of the Vietnam - Russia Intergovernmental Committee, the Ambassador said.

Ambassador Khoi thanked Russia, especially the St.Petersburg government and Polisan company, for supporting Vietnam with Cytoflavin drug worth 90,000 USD, which he said is very necessary and timely support for epidemic prevention and control in Vietnam.
Trade between the two countries has been growing, reaching 4.9 billion USD in 2020 and 3.8 billion USD in the first nine months of 2021, respectively rising 8 percent and 4.6 percent year on year, according to the diplomat .
