Vietnam, Thailand police cooperate in crime prevention and control
(VOVworld)- The Vietnamese and Thai police forces have committed to strengthening their close coordination in combating crimes in the coming time. The consensus came at talks between Deputy Head of the General Department of Crime Prevention and Control of the Ministry of Public Security, Lieutenant General Trieu Van Dat, and visiting Deputy Chief of the Royal Thai Police, General Pansiri Prapawat, in Hanoi on Monday. Dat said the commitment is consistent with the two countries’ strategic partnership which their leaders noted in a Joint Statement issued during Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s visit to Thailand last June. General Prapawat voiced his hope that the two sides will regularly cooperate in training officers to safeguard the social order in each country.
