(VOVworld) – Vietnam expects to produce 227,000 cars by 2020 and 863,000 cars by 2030. Under a development plan of Vietnam’s automobile industry recently approved by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, Vietnam targets 20,000 exported cars by 2020 and 30,000 exported cars by 2030. It hopes to earn 4 billion USD from exports of components and spare parts by 2020 and 6 billion by 2030.

Vietnam’s automobile supportive industry is expected to meet up to 40% of demands for components, spare parts, and domestic assembly of cars and 50% in the 2026-2030 period. This will turn Vietnam into an important provider of automobile components and spare parts in the world market.
