(VOVWORLD) - Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission, has reiterated that Vietnam's foreign policy attaches importance to New Zealand.

Ms. Mai made the statement during her 3-day working visit to New Zealand this week after concluding a trip to Australia.
She said she hopes the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and New Zealand will grow, creating a firm foundation for both to reach new heights.
During her stay, she held separate meetings with the Secretary of New Zealand’s Foreign Ministry, the Chief Attorney General, the Minister of State for Maori Ethnic Minorities, the President of New Zealand-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group, and the Mayor of Wellington, among others. She also met with the Vietnamese Embassy’s staff and representatives of the Vietnamese community in New Zealand.
