(VOVworld) – The UK is willing to share its experiences with Vietnamese experts and researchers regarding infectious diseases, said Andrew Holt, the First Secretary of the British Embassy in Vietnam, at a workshop on the issue which opened on Tuesday in Hanoi.

Le Thanh Binh from the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology said greater efforts will be made to boost bilateral co-operation on infectious diseases research in the next 3 years, with funds provided by both countries. He added both sides have pledged to carry out 5 joint projects in the field with a potentially huge social impact. Vietnam and the UK have become strategic partners since 2010 with science and technology being one of their cooperative priorities.
