Vietnam, US bolster public security cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security is prepared to work closely with the US Embassy in Vietnam to narrow the gap between the two countries, foster trust, and deepen US-Vietnam relations, said Luong Tam Quang, Deputy Minister of Public Security, at a meeting on Monday with US Chargé d'Affaires in Vietnam Christopher Klein.

General Quang said he believes the US Embassy and the Chargé d'Affaires will continue supporting the bilateral relationship and cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security and its American partners in public security, cybersecurity, energy security, climate change, and anti-terrorism efforts. He asked the Embassy to provide resources for the Ministry to help control the COVID-19 pandemic.
Klein said he believes cooperation between US agencies and the Ministry of Public Security will increase and will help to boost overall cooperation between the two countries.
