(VOVWORLD) - Export and import activities between Vietnam and Australia have been busy so far this year.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs reported that Vietnam’s exports to Australia in the first quarter earned 1.38 billion USD, up 32% from the same period last year. Farm produce was among the key earners which registered an impressive growth.
Australia is supplying Vietnam with essential materials like coal, iron ore, metal, cotton, grain, and fodder.
In 2021, Vietnam-Australia bilateral trade hit an all-time high of more than 12.4 billion USD, up 49% from 2020.
