Such an agreement would ensure the legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese workers and help them integrate into their host community. The ambassador made the proposal at a meeting with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiasdes following his presentation of credentials to the leader in Nicosia on Tuesday. Thien informed his host about achievements Vietnam has recorded in socio-economic development and international integration recently as well as its current targets and development strategies.
President Anastasiasdes applauded Vietnam’s achievements and the deepening of the traditional friendship and multi-faceted collaboration between the two countries over the past four decades.
