(VOVworld) - Vietnamese architect Hoang Thuc Hao won a gold medal of the Sia-Getz Architecture Prize 2016 for his design “happiness architecture”.

SIA President Richard K.F. Ho said Hao’s designs bring happiness to neglected communities in a modern society, particularly those in the countryside or ethnic minority groups. The biennial SIA-Getz Architecture Prize for Emergent Architecture, started in 2005 by Singapore’s Institute of Architects (SIA) and Getz Bros&Co, honours talented architects who have significantly contributed to the progress of architecture in Asia.
