(VOVWORLD) - Forward Pham Hai Yen of the Vietnamese female football team said in a FIFA interview that she and her teammates are determined to conquer a first-ever World Cup place by winning big at the AFC Women’s Asian Cup India 2022.

Hai Yen scored 8 goals in two appearances in India 2022 and finished as the leading scorer in the preliminaries.
The Women’s Asian Cup is a test for them, Yen said. Their target is to win the matches to qualify for the Women’s World Cup for the first time.
Yen said the chances for the Vietnamese team have increased. She will try her best to make it with her team. The Women’s World Cup is every player’s dream and all she wants is to fulfill it, said Yen.
