Vietnamese, Japanese enterprises seek cooperation in agriculture

(VOVworld) - A delegation of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in HCM city met with Can Tho City leaders this week to discuss measures to develop hi-tech agriculture. Representatives from 32 Japanese companies led by JETRO Chief Representative Yazuzumi Hirotaka discussed the pros and cons of different types of high tech machinery and equipment, the factors involved in selecting plants and seeds and the proper use of fertilizers and other agricultural chemicals.

Mr. Hirotaka said he is confident state-of-the-art technologies will thrive in Vietnam and help mitigate the harmful effects of environmental pollution caused by deficiencies in current agricultural production processes.
