(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Education and Training on Tuesday presented certificates of merit to 5 Vietnamese contestants who all won medals at the 2014 International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2014) in Kazakhstan. 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals placed Vietnam the 5th position among 85 countries, the highest achievement Vietnam has ever obtained at such arena.

This year’s Olympiad drew 383 contestants from 84 countries and territories.
Vietnam’s gold medalists are 12th grader Cao Ngoc Thai from the central province of Nghe An, 12th grader Do Thi Bich Hue and 11th grader Vu Thanh Trung Nam.
