(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue met Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte in Manila on Thursday as part of his official visit to the Philippines.

Mr. Hue said the visit aims to further Vietnam-Philippines bilateral ties and cooperation between the two legislatures.
He affirmed that the National Assembly of Vietnam always supports Filipino businesses operating in Vietnam and asked the Filipino Vice President to create conditions for trade and investment ties between the two countries.
Vice President Sara Duterte praised Vietnam’s impressive achievements in post-COVID-19 recovery and socio-economic development to become an economic center in the region.
The two leaders agreed to strengthen cooperation across all channels of the Party, Government, and Parliament, and people-to-people exchanges. As President of the Lakas CMD Party, Vice President Sara Duterte wishes to strengthen ties with the Communist Party of Vietnam and supports cooperation between localities of the two countries.
The same day, Mr. Hue received Governor of Davao Oriental Corazon province Nunez Malanyaon and leaders from a number of large corporations of the Philippines.
