Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia visited and presented money to build houses for nine local policy families in Ben Tre province. Mr. Nghia asked local authorities to take good care of Vietnamese heroic mothers, policy families, poor households, disadvantaged households, and families who rendered great service to the revolution.

Youth Unions at all levels in Quang Nam province presented gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, former youth volunteers, veterans, people with meritorious service to the revolution, and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin. They also provided medicines and medical examinations to policy families and needy families in revolutionary base areas, remote areas, and border and island areas, and helped to repair martyrs' cemeteries and charity houses.

160 wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and martyrs' relatives are given free medical examinations and health consultations.

Lai Chau province’s Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Health and Social Insurance organized medical examinations, and health consultations, and gave gifts to 160 wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and martyrs' relatives.

Tran Do Cong, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, said that the Department will continue to work with agencies, units and localities to push all-people participation in the Gratitude Fund, and mobilize resources to take care of people who rendered great service to the revolution.

"We will also integrate socio-economic development policies with national target programs in poverty reduction and new rural construction to improve the lives of these individuals and their relatives," he added.
