(VOVworld) - Vietnam always treasures the tremendous support by the Hungarian Government and people during Vietnam’s struggles for national liberation and post-war reconstruction. The statement was made by Le Minh Triet, President of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh City, during Wednesday’s celebration of Hungary’s National Day. Vietnam and Hungary have nurtured their relationship over the past 60 years and will continue to cooperate in economics, culture, and education.

Their two-way trade has grown tremendously, reaching 150 million USD last year. Hungary has launched 11 projects in Vietnam, provides 50 scholarships every year to Vietnamese students, and continues to put Vietnam on its Official Development Assistance priority list.
