At the event hosted by the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee, participants stressed the need for women from 3 countries to work together on cooperative programs and support each other in various fields. The participants also pointed out difficulties and challenges facing women and proposed measures to improve gender equality.  Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh told delegates: “I hope that the forum will recommend effective measures to deal with the common challenges, including gender discrimination and policy barriers affecting gender equality. It’s essential to create favorable conditions for women to access capital, technology, land, and markets and give more education opportunities to women and girls”.
