(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese delegation to the UN, the WTO, and international organizations in Geneva held a meeting with overseas Vietnamese in Switzerland on Saturday. The event was to mark Vietnam’s 69^th August Revolution and Independence Day, September 2.
Nguyen Trung Thanh, Vietnamese Ambassador and Head of the Vietnamese delegation, said Vietnamese people in Switzerland have always turned their hearts to the homeland with a wish that the country has lasting peace, independence, and territorial integrity. He informed the participants that Vietnam has entered a new period of international integration and established relations with more than 200 countries.
Vietnam as a member of the UN Human Rights Council wants to learn experience from other countries to improve human rights in Vietnam.
