Vietnam’s Buddhism stays side by side with nation
(VOVWORLD) -Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai Friday received a delegation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) led by Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Council.

Mai appreciated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s contributions to society and engagement in charity activities to help poor people in remote, disadvantaged areas. She took the occasion to extend New Year wishes to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, and other dignitaries in the VBS’s Executive Council.
The Most Venerable said the Sangha will continue to work with other religions and the entire society to consolidate national great unity and contribute to developing a prosperous nation and an equal, democratic, and civilized society.
