The event is to mark the 7th conference of the Memory of the World Committee for Asia and the Pacific (MOWCAP) and the International Museum Day on May 18th.

The exhibit presented an overview of the values of the woodblocks and royal documents of the Nguyen Dynasty, the stone steles at Hanoi’s Temple of Literature during the Le-Mac Dynasty (1442-1779), woodblocks found in Vinh Nghiem pagoda in Bac Giang province, and the plates of woodblocks used for rudimentary printing during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945).

These documents are recognised by UNESCO as memories of the world. The exhibit also introduces other potential submissions for UNESCO’s recognition, including poems carved on Hue citadel’s architecture, Hue Buddhist woodblocks, and woodblocks for textbooks from Truong Luu in Ha Tinh province in the period from 1758 to 1788.
