(VOVworld) – A celebration was held in Slovakia’s capital city of Bratislava on Monday to mark Vietnam’s 70th National Day on September 2.

In her speech to open the ceremony attended by more than 300 Slovakian guests, representatives of foreign corps and the overseas Vietnamese community, Vietnamese Ambassador Ho Dac Minh Nguyet appreciated Slovakia’s assistance to its struggle for national independence and development.

She voiced her hope that the two countries will step up efforts to strengthen their time-honoured friendship and all-round cooperation.
