(VOVworld) - Vietnam exported 24,000 tons of tea in the first quarter of this year valued at 37 million. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in March alone, Vietnam shipped 8,000 tons of tea, bringing home 11 million USD.

The average price of Vietnam’s exported tea in the first two months was 1,600 USD per ton, up 5% from a year earlier. The Vietnam Tea Association (Vitas) forecast tea exports this year to be equivalent to last year’s figure of 138,000 tons, earning 222 million USD.
