Vietnam’s textile industry has huge potential: Indian diplomat
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s textile industry has huge potential, which will draw Indian investors’ interest, according to Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh city K. Srikar Reddy.

Addressing a conference entitled “Textiles: India-Vietnam Cooperation, Partners in Progress” held by the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday, Mr. Reddy said India is a supplier of high-quality materials, fabrics, and machinery at competitive prices. He added that the Vietnam-India collaboration will compensate for each other’s weakness and help both countries expand their sales market internationally.
India has 176 projects in Vietnam worth 800 million USD, making it Vietnam’s 28th largest investor. India’s textile-garment exports to Vietnam last year totaled 430 million USD, while Vietnam’s exports to India totaled 180 million USD.
