Vietnam’s top leader sends letter to Japanese King Father
(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong on Tuesday sent a letter to Japanese King Father Akihito on the occasion of the latter’s abdication.

In his letter, Mr. Trong thanked King Father Akihito’s fine sentiment to the land and people of Vietnam, and highly valued the historical significance of his first visit to the country in 2017 when he was reigning.
Crown Prince Naruhito will ascend the throne on Wednesday morning.
