Vietnam-US partnership makes impressive progress: Russian expert
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and the United States have found a common voice to resolve various issues in humanitarian cooperation, education, culture and economics, Dr Vladimir Kolotov from Russia’s Saint Petersburg State University told reporters on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the normalization of Vietnam-US relations.
Mr. Kolotov said the process of normalizing relations with the US showed the vision of Vietnam’s Party and State based on external policies initiated by President Ho Chi Minh. In the second half of the 20th century, Vietnam proved its readiness to develop equal and mutually beneficial relationship with all partners, said Kolotov. Vietnam is confident of its development strategies and gradually promoting its position and role in Southeast Asia and will protect the interests of the country by all means, he added.
