(VOVWORLD) - WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said Friday that all hypotheses on the origins of COVID-19 remained on the table, following an investigative mission in China.

On Tuesday WHO and Chinese experts said that there is no sign of the virus’s presence in Wuhan, China, before December 2019, when the first COVID-19 case was reported there.
The WHO team arrived in Wuhan on January 14 to conduct an investigation of the virus’ origins.
According to worldometers, as of Saturday morning, the world has confirmed more than 108 million COVID-19 cases, 2.4 million have died. 421,000 new cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours. The US remains the disease’s epicenter with 28.1 million infections and 492,000 deaths, followed by India, Brazil, Russia, and the UK.
