In phone talks, the top nuclear envoys of South Korea, the United States, and Japan strongly condemned North Korea's latest missile test, vowing to maintain close cooperation and seek stern action against Pyongyang's "reckless" and "continued" provocations, including measures at the UN Security Council based on close coordination among the three countries. They all agreed that such test-launches went against denuclearization efforts on the Korean peninsula. South Korea’s parties staged protests against the North’s latest launch and warned that Pyongyang will face tougher sanctions and isolation if it continues missile testing.
Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov voiced his opposition against this latest missile test and called on the world to stay restrained.
